This PhD programme will provide interdisciplinary PhD training in global health for up to 50 PhD fellows.

The CREATE PhD Programme will recruit 25 outstanding UK health professionals, funded by the Wellcome Trust and supported by partner institutions in the UK, Africa, and South Asia. The programme will also train a matched cohort of exceptional 25 African/Asian early career researchers, creating a blended cohort of South-North fellows. African and Asian fellowships will be funded by a variety of external funders as well as supported through local partnerships. 

This unique group of PhD fellows will benefit from sharing of knowledge, ideas and training opportunities, building a mutually supportive community of fellows.​
